I hardly knew you Brent.  We ran in different circles at CHS.   Thank you for reconstituting your band and playing some mighty fine Rock N Roll at our 40th Reunion held at the OSU Alumni Center.   Wishing you well in the Great Beyond.   Warm regards, Peter

Brent Durbin is the fellow who put the "garage" in "garage rock". He and Rob Ford were always the nucleus of the primary local garage rock band, "The Patriots" and Brent's family, who lived almost literally across the street from CHS, provided the garage to practice in. His family encouraged his band activities and were always very hospitible to Brent's friends. Brent himself was our version of "Archie" from the comics, an easy going fellow who loved beautiful young women who not surprisingly loved him too and he used to end his conversa-tions with "dont work too hard". "The Patriots" who were surprisingly professional for a garage rock band and would play GOOD faithful covers of the best non-Beatles male group hits, including those of the Yardbirds, Animals, even obscure US garage rock bands hit a zenith opening for Bob Hope in a big show. In retrospect I have dreams about the Corvallis of the 60s and in my dreams confuse it with Archie's Riverdale. Jeffrey Sharp.
