Knew Mel through grade school as he was a grade ahead of us. Most of us are associatiated with his sister Maureen of our class. Mel joined our class a little later knowing it was the better class. Was stunned when I learned of a loss of a classmate, but reading his obituary, was pleasantly pleased of his success in central Oregon and how he was praised of those who knew him. Another feather in the hat for CHS and certainly for his family.
