Peace and happiness to you, my brother. We will meet again!

And yes, card games, cars and having fun were a mainstay for us who hung out with Plumley. His mother's chihuahua pissed on me once, which Lonnie said, "shouldn't have held the dog." Really?

This is such sad news. Lonnie live around the corner so, not only school buddies, we were neighborhood ones as well. Many days were spend hanging out listening to music and covetting his father's classic Ford. Lonnie had such a pleasant laid back demeanor and a great sense of humor. Rest in Peace my friend.

Lonnie and I grew up living next door to each other until I moved to another part of town in 9th grade.  After grade school, we no longer had classes together and didn’t stay in touch.  Some 50 years had gone by, is that possible, when we ran into each other at Costco.  We chatted a while and made arrangements for my sister and I to meet him for lunch.  We talked about the usual stuff like our jobs and family.  He told me a funny story about how he hosted some poker parties during school.  I guess one time someone leaned back in their chair and broke out a small window pane.  It was promptly replaced to look like new.  Another time someone got in the fridge and drank something that was definitely past the expiration date.  No one left with big bucks as I  recall.  Sounds like good times and one of the perks from living across the street from the high school.  Lonnie was a special person and certainly will be missed by many.

So sorry to see that Lonnie has passed. As Cathy had mentioned above about the poker parties. Those were some of my best memories from the high school days. I had some other memories with Lonnie involving Ice cream bars. I'm sure some others know of this outing. Rest in peace my friend.
