Teral "Teri" Jeanne (Swanson) Gerlt passed away peacefully in her bed on December 21st at her home in Portland Oregon, surrounded by her children. Teri was an Oregon State University alumna, a nurse practitioner, and a faculty member at OHSU School of Nursing. She was also a world traveler, a genealogy and gardening enthusiast, a passionate advocate for the environment and access to health care, and a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother.
In 1973, Teri married Danny Gerlt and together they raised a loving family. Teri is survived by her siblings Rod, Dick, and Julie; her children Jason, Rachael, Sara, Steve, Jarod, and Heather; and her grandchildren Lucas, Holden, Owen, Miles, Lola, and Adler.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Knight Cancer Institute, Oregon Nurses Association, Planned Parenthood, or the Nature Conservancy.
